Chrysalis CARES had a very successful 2007!
We had a total of 75 young men and women experiencing Chrysalis this past year. The Board thanks the entire community who made the weekends a great success! Chrysalis CARES has always been blessed with a community that responds to God's call, producing the teams God He desires, this year was no different, a sincere thanks to ALL who served!
While Stonybrook has been experiencing growth (Praise the Lord!) this has meant working together as a team to ensure both Ministries are successful, we have had to do some tweaking to the schedule, and we have done well! Additionally, Chrysalis and Stonybrook partnered to make upgrades to the kitchen, if you have not served recently in the kitchen we invite you even implore you to come and serve at meal time -- WE NEED YOU! It will give you the chance to check out the new Range and Ice Maker that Chrysalis helped purchase -- COME CHECK IT OUT!

Girl's Winter Flight/Journey
This weekend we embark on our 2008 Chrysalis season with the Girl's Weekend!  The Girl's Flight/Journey is this weekend and Christ is counting on us to show His Love as we are counting on Him to shine through us! We look forward to seeing the community come out once again and pour God's Love on these 36 Young Ladies! Please, if you have not already, mark your calendars and plan to come THIS weekend to Stonybrook UMC. Some areas of opportunity are: helping in the kitchen, 72 Hour Prayer Vigil, attending Send Off, attending Candlelight, attending Closing, providing general Agape, and the list goes on!!! PRAISE THE LORD it's a full flight!!

We have made great strides toward aligning the board to the model of a 3 year term rotation. However, many of these individuals have served well over the 3 year term. We thank them for their dedication and love for our Community! While they may be stepping down from the board they are not stepping out of our Community and we look forward to continuing to serve along side them during the weekend and any other Chrysalis Event! |
