Your Private Invitation to My Downtown Loft & The New...

SATURDAY MORNING CONVERSATION SERIES
with...
Co-Creators & Visionaries

Our first series is beyond successful! And this NEW series - well, I'm so excited!

As many of you know, about six months ago, I moved into a historic loft in downtown LA. It's an alive, fun, and phenomenally creative lifestyle.

U
sing my loft as a base, I'm now inviting you - the spirited women co-creators of LA - to have an experience with the leading men visionaries of downtown. Yes! (In our first series, I interviewed downtown women visionaries).

This is not a publicized series. You won't find it on Facebook or Craigslist.

I CAN ACCOMMODATE ONLY 25. The monthly 4-part series includes a buffet breakfast in my loft and then we'll have four different conversation adventures in different downtown locales. Spirited men and women welcome to sign-up.

View this as a Saturday morning salon series, but with a twist. A way to leave the world behind, and have an adventure - together.

Saturday, August 15, 10-12:30pm - J. RUSSELL BROWNRussell Brown

Originally from Memphis, TN, Russell Brown, moved to downtown years ago and is a stand-out leader in its revitilization. In fact, without Russell, downtown would not be what it is today. A community activist, historic preservationist, President of the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, a lover of travel and architecture, Russell is outspoken when it comes to the rights of others. That's why many call him "Mr. Downtown."

We'll be visiting Russell's private, gorgeous loft, which he rarely opens to the public. I will interview Russell on how his life as a visionary has led him to pursue his dreams.

Saturday, September 19, 10-12:30pm - BERT GREEN
Bert Green

Bert Green has firmly put the art scene on downtown's map. In 2003, he helped form the gallery district now called "Gallery Row." He opened Bert Green Fine Art, in 2004, and later that same year founded the Downtown Art Walk. At the first Art Walk, there were 8 galleries and 75 cautious visitors. Now over 45 galleries are involved and about 6,000 attend monthly. Recently, he stepped down from managing the Art Walk and started DTLAX, a new magazine for downtowners.

We'll be visiting Bert Green's Gallery at 5th & Main. I will interview Bert on what it's like to be a transformer of change. The good, the bad, the uplifting, the ugly.

Saturday, October 17, 10-12:30pm - ARMANDO MOLINAArmando Molina

Artistic Director of the Company of Angels Theatre, located at the historic Alexandria Hotel on Spring Street, Armando Molina is a creative force in downtown. A writer, director, actor, and all around visionary - he leads the oldest non-profit professional theater in the city. Along the way the company has received almost every Los Angeles theatrical award, including The LA Drama Critics Circle Award, the DramaLogue Award, the LA Weekly Award, and the Ovation Award.

We'll be visiting the Company of Angels Theatre at the Alexandria Hotel. I will interview Armando on what it's like to feel deeply connected to your community.

Saturday, November 21, 10-12:30pm - TOM GILMORE
Tom Gilmore

If you live downtown, you know about Tom Gilmore. You'll see him at his popular restaurants - Pete's Cafe & Bar, Warung, Rocket Pizza - and you'll see him walking around his many historic buildings. A former New Yorker, in the early 90's, he saw the potential of downtown and went for it. Trained in architecture and design, his firm Gilmore Associates owns and rehabilitated many historic downtown properties - turning them into lofts and more. He rarely does interviews - so this is a special treat.

We'll meet up with Tom at Pete's Cafe & Bar. Then he'll give us a private tour of downtown's core. I will interview Tom on how he turned his vision of downtown into a reality.
