BOO! It's October! Where the heck did the year go!?!? Ah well, at least we are at the tail end of the heat and on to cooler temps and Holiday time! That's right, Holiday time is right around the corner, so you will start to see those Holiday Decorations for sale in all of our stores. Funny how that sneaks up on us every year doesn't it? :)
Well October is shaping up to be a fabulous month, with events and sales and all kinds of cool things happening. Make sure to check it all out on our Calendar. Probably the most exciting event coming up is our 56th Anniversary Sale that will run from October 31st - November 3rd. We will have some incredible daily deals, some deals on other stuff you just have to have and of course, as always, we'll feed you hot dogs and popcorn on Saturday, November 3rd from 11-1 whilst you fill up your buckets to enjoy 20% off of whatever you can fit in 'em. (Stay tuned to your inbox for more info). We will kick the whole event off the day before (Tuesday, October 30th) at our gorgeous Scottsdale and McDowell location with the DeWalt Guaranteed Tough Semi Truck with some cool stuff to look at and some even cooler specials. So if you haven't made it to our newest location, make it a point to come see us!

Plant that winter lawn!
 It's time to get going on planting that winter lawn - yeahhh!! I love a pretty winter lawn! It's easy enough to do and even easier with rental equipment from Paul's Ace Hardware! We have power rakes, aerators, lawn rollers and even lawn mowers and we can bring them right to you. PLUS we have a fantastic promotion on Scotts Seeding Soil throughout the month of October. Fire Prevention Week 2012
Fire Prevention week was established to commemorate the Great Chicago Fire that occurred on October 8 & 9th, 1871. It killed more than 250 people, left over 100,000 homeless and scorched over 2,000 acres. However, that wasn't the biggest blaze that week. Click here to read more.

Cardboard City 2012 
Family Promise AZ is a local organization that provides "meals, a homelike setting, emotional support and a full range of social, economic, and educational services". They also happen to be about a mile from our new location at Scottsdale and McDowell.
On October 26-27th, they are hosting a "Cardboard City" in Scottsdale Stadium where people pledge to sleep in a cardboard box overnight. One of our amazing associates, Sandy Nou, decided on her own to be put up to the challenge to set an example to her 12 year old brother, so we/Paul's of course are sponsering her. She needs your help to raise money for this fantastic organization. Please take some time to donate in Sandy's name and to the Family Promise AZ cause. Paul's and Sandy's support of Family Promise is just one other way we are providing solutions to our community. We're so proud of you Sandy!!!!!! |

FREE Recycling!
YES! We still accept recycling items and our last event in Fountain Hills was a great success! Thank you everyone! Now that we are getting in the groove of things, we've scheduled events through June, 2013. All events fall on the first weekend of the month, and will be held at a different Paul's Ace Hardware location each month, (with the exception of our next event on November 3-4, 2012 - each store will be collecting recyclables during our 56th Anniversary Sale).
