Greetings!
 Weshew, the dust is settling and we are in the groove of 2012 :) Just in case you hadn't heard, WE MOVED our Scottsdale and Thomas store down the street a little ways to 1800 N. Scottsdale Road. We are LOVING it here! We have a super convenient location between the Post Office and LA Fitness with much better parking, more retail space,which means an expanded selection of product, easier to shop, brighter aisles, a Coffee Cart (yum yum!), all with the same knowledgeable and friendly employees that you expect to find at Paul's. You really need to make a trip in and check it out. This might help :)
Did January go by too fast or what!? February is already here, jeepers! Which is GREAT because we have all kinds of things going on. Some great sales (that I've already posted on our Calendar so be sure to take a look), Vaccination Station in Gilbert, SharpVan in Scottsdale, La Parada Del Sol Parade, aaaaannnnd our Grand Re-Opening at 1800 N. Scottsdale Road! Check them all out on our Calendar, put us on YOUR calendar, make your lists and we'll see you soon!

Parada Del Sol!
 This is a long running Scottsdale Event that you cannot miss. La Parada Del Sol has a special place in our hearts. The Parada Del Sol actually evolved from the Scottsdale Jaycees Sunshine Festival. In 1956 the first Rodeo was added to the Sunshine Festival and there was a contest held to re-name this whole event. Some long time Scottsdale residents and Paul's customers may remember Al Pena; he worked for us for years and years and ultimately retired from Paul's. Our Al Pena submitted "Parada Del Sol", which translated to Spanish means "walk in the sun". (1956 was also the year Paul E. Dauwalder acquired Scottsdale Hardware and made it his own.)
Before he passed away in 2004, Paul's son Fred suggested that Paul's be in the 50th Anniversary Parada Del Sol Parade. To honor him, Paul's purchased our very cool truck, refurbished it and walked the parade in 2006. Now 6 years later, we are going to do it again for the Arizona Centennial Parada Del Sol Parade. Make sure to come out and see us along the parade route! |

Made in the USA!
Starting about a year ago, our associates went through our entire inventory by hand and they identified OVER 19,000 items throughout our stores that are Made in the USA. We then created new bin tags for those items with an American flag on them to clearly identify that these items were Made in the USA. Thank YOU for all of your positive comments! We hear you and understand that you feel it is important to buy products made in the USA! We will keep it up! |
