Helloooooo 2012!!!!
We started the New Year with a HUGE change - WE MOVED our Scottsdale and Thomas location to our new place at 1800 N. Scottsdale Road! Like a relationship status change, It's Facebook Official and everything! It was quite a weekend; very busy and a lot of hard work, but we managed to get it moved. Please make sure to come see us. We know you are going to love it. Pardon our dust while we settle in, you know how it is when you first move somewhere :) We're still learning and remembering where we put everything!
This year sure is taking shape! First the move, next an awesome ad starting on January 4th... it's got Dollar Days items in it! My favorite! Then a Paul's Exclusive Weekend Event (we haven't had one of those in a while due to the Holidays, glad to have it back!) Check them all out on our Calendar, make your lists and we'll see you soon!

Light Bulb Legislation
 As some of you may be aware, new mandated energy-efficiency standards for manufacturers take effect in 2012 and 2013 as part of the 2007 Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA). On Thursday, Dec. 15, Congress passed spending legislation that blocks the funding of federal enforcement of the energy-efficiency standards mandated by EISA. The law and its efficiency standards are still in effect, but the Department of Energy would not have the funds to enforce the laws until late 2012 if President Obama signs the legislation.
So how does this impact our vendors? Despite the lack of federal enforcement, reputable manufacturers will continue to transition to more efficient lighting technology to comply with regulatory standards. GE, Westinghouse and other manufacturers have invested millions of dollars to adjust their production facilities and processes to meet the EISA requirements. In addition, while federal enforcement may be stalled, states can still enforce the requirements at their discretion.
What does this mean to you? In simplest terms, the laws have not changed - only the level of funding to enforce the laws has changed. Ace Corporate is continuing to move forward to upgrade and enhance our lighting category in 2012. We are committed to compliance with all federal, state and local statutes, and will work with manufacturers to ensure that our light bulb inventory meets all applicable regulations.
If and when more relavent and pertinent information is communicated to us, we will of course pass it along to you!
