Computerized Simulations: Innovative Testing and Revenue Generator

Computer Medical Is your organization seeking alternatives to typical multiple-choice examinations,  options for recertification testing or even ways to increase revenue? If so, we encourage you to become familiar with computerized simulations, an innovative and thoroughly researched assessment approach. Simulations test higher order thinking skills and analysis capabilities of candidates in "Information Gathering" and "Decision Making" sections.

Simulations are ideal for practice tests and self-assessment programs. With the case study format, they are far more interesting to take than a mundane, four or five option multiple-choice examination, and lend themselves to providing very detailed information about the choices candidates select. In addition, in occupations where higher-order decision making is part of the job, simulations can realistically present situations which must be analyzed and decided just like in the "real" world.  Read Full Article...
Unique Test Delivery Solution Marks Successful Partnership
In 2006, the  National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) set out to find a testing vendor that offered secure, high quality test development services along with a  test delivery system capable of bringing their certification examination directly to the students at over 450 accredited surgical technologist training programs in the United States. Knowing that their needs would not necessarily fit into just any pre-designed "box", AMP proposed that the organization take advantage of a proprietary web-based testing system which allowed them to set up examination sites, verify site specifications with web-testing requirements, identify and train proctors to administer their high-stakes Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)  examination and schedule test administrations.

After over a year of operation, this approach has proven highly successful, with over 4,000 surgical technology students being tested right at their schools before graduation.  Using the combination of web-based testing in the education programs and daily computer-based testing in the AMP Assessment Center Network, over 10,000 candidates have taken the CST Examination since NBSTSA and AMP began working together. AMP/MS Earns AMC Institute Reaccreditation

AMCI logoWe are delighted to announce that AMP Management Services (AMP/MS) has earned reaccreditation by the AMC Institute.  AMC Institute Accreditation is recognized and supported by the American Society of Association Executives and the Center for Association Leadership and is based on the ANSI Standard of Good Practices for the AMC Industry.  Accreditation signifies commitment and ability to deliver the highest level of professional management services to associations and not-for-profit clients.  Of over 500 association management companies in existence, less than 50 have achieved this mark of distinction.

AMP/MS first achieved AMC Institute Accreditation in 2004 and has now been reaccredited for an additional four years.  In renewing accreditation, an independent outside auditor confirms that an organization continues to meet the standards of performance in such areas as contracts and services delivery, employee recruitment, training and development, financial management and several others.  AMP/MS continues to strive to provide only "the best" management services in the industry for our Business Partners.  Reaccreditation by the AMC Institute demonstrates our success!

What does this mean to you? It means that there are great opportunities to advance your organizational objectives through a focused governmental affairs program. The Administration and Congress are open to hear what ideas you have that will make the country better, correct or clarify legislation, or enhance existing programs to create improved outcomes.

In the upcoming additions of eConnect, we will provide you with real world examples of what AMP clients are doing to take advantage of legislative opportunities.
