Linchpin Are you Indispensable?First of all, what is a linchpin? If your business starting sinking faster than the Titanic, who is the last person you would want to let go of? This is your Linchpin! If you work as an employee, hopefully you are that person. Seth Godin is the bestselling author of several books like Purple Cow and Tribes. Seth Godin's latest book, Linchpin, challenges you to stop waiting to be told what to do and start putting your ideas into action. No excuses! Linchpin highlights the way that today's workplace is shifting from an assembly line mentality to valuing creativity and problem solving. I was lucky enough to take a group of my business undergraduate students to see Seth Godin Live in Antwerp last week. His message from Linchpin was perfectly timed and challenged each of us not to simply go through the motions, but to seek out new problems to solve and pour ourselves into the work that we do, no matter at what level of an organization you find yourself. If you are the least bit curious about how to make yourself indispensable, that is a good start on your journey and this book won't disappoint. Success,
