SCA Awareness Month Magnets
SCA Awareness MonthOctober is National SCA Awareness Month and Parent Heart Watch is offering you the opportunity to distribute educational magnets that outline what parents and others can do to prevent SCA in youth.  Topics include knowing how to respond to a cardiac emergency, learning the  warning signs and symptoms of a heart condition, the importance of early detection through cardiac screenings (ECGs) and knowing your family's heart history.

Magnets are available at no cost, however, there is a shipping fee based on the weight of the order. To order these educational materials, please submit your complete name, organization name (if applicable), mailing address, telephone number and quantity desired to contact@parentheartwatch.org

Screen Across America Initiative to 
Provide Cardiac Screenings to over
13,000 Youth in October

Screen Across America graphicOrganizations from across the nation are participating in Screen Across America, a national initiative that provides cardiac screenings to youth ages 5-24.  The goal of this collaborative effort is to increase awareness about SCA in youth and the importance of cardiac screenings and early detection in saving young lives.

2011 Heroes for Young HeartsDoes someone in your community deserve recognition for their efforts in raising awareness of SCA in youth?  Do you work with people that are taking specific actions to save young lives?  If so, submit their name today for a Heroes for Young Hearts award.
