Annual Conference Early Bird Registration is Open!

Registration is now open for the 2012 PHW National Conference in New Orleans, January 13-15.

Heroes for Young Hearts Award Call for Nominations

2011 HFYH Award Winner The 2nd annual Heroes for Young Hearts award ceremony will take place on Friday, January 13 at the PHW 7th Annual National Conference welcome dinner.

We want your input by October 31st!

PHW is seeking nominations from you!

The awards recognize individuals that demonstrate a continuous commitment in their local community to raise awareness of SCA in youth by taking specific actions that support the PHW mission of protecting youth from Sudden Cardiac Arrest and preventable Sudden Cardiac Death. Nominees are not required to be PHW members.

PHW to Offer Media Webinar on August 15

Webinar Icon PHW members are invited to attend a webinar: SCA Awareness Month and the Media: How to Set Up A Media Plan and Gain Exposure on Monday, August 15 from 8:00pm - 9:30pm (EST). The webinar will provide an outline for a public relations plan centered around SCA Awareness Month in October and specific steps for getting media attention in local communities.

Webinar is free to PHW members. Anyone interested should contact michele@parentheartwatch.org. Space is limited!

5K for Aidan J pic PHW Member Christy Silva for donating the proceeds from the 5K for Aidan J to Parent Heart Watch. The event raised over $35,000 and increased awareness about SCA in youth throughout the entire Philadelphia region as hundreds came out to remember Aidan Silva... Texas SCA Survivor Brian Brunson and his wife Paula for supporting PHW at the 2nd Annual Crawmaggedon on June 4th... Correll and Robby Seidel of TX for donating proceeds to PHW from the annual Powder Puff Game in memory of their daughter Kaitlin...

PHW Members Jim and Karen Zilinski of NJ received the HERO Award in the Chain of Survival from LifeForce USA and the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation. Laura Regalado of IL and Bobbo's Fund hosted their first Walk-a-Thon on Mother's Day in memory of her son Robert. The event raised over $6,000 for SCA awareness... Lisa Morgan of TX attended a basketball pool tournament in memory of her son Keith on June 23rd... Corinne Ruiz of CA donated an AED to Bethel Christian School on June 29th... Candace Walker of GA hosted an SCA Awareness workshop at the Compassionate Friends Conference in July. She also awarded three deserving students with a 2011 Clinton Ron Walker Scholarship...
