  PHW Members Raise Awareness During
National CPR and AED Awareness Week
 June 1-7, 2010
In honor of National CPR/AED Awareness Week, Pennsylvania PHW members Rhonda Foster at Senators GameSkip Over and Rhonda Foster proved in front of 4,000 Harrisburg Senators baseball fans that an AED will not shock the heart if it's not needed. The pads of the AED were applied to Rhonda's chest, and shown live on the stadium's huge video screen! The AED analyzed Rhonda's heart rhythm as the crowd silently watched... no shock was delivered.  PHW members also had a PHW booth and demonstrated CPR.

Christine Puricelli of Arizona had a double hit in one week!  Christine took the CPR/AED  Awareness Week Letter to the Editor template all PHW members received in May, and sent it to several newspapers.  One responded asking her to expand upon the letter and actually do a guest column!  The beautifully written article about her beautiful daughter Emilie and Long QT Syndrome can be viewed here. She also taped a news piece with her local ABC television affiliate later in the week.

New Jersey PHW Board Member Jim Zilinski also had four letters published in newspapers throughout the week.
