There has been a lot of press coverage and public forum discussion lately regarding the value of an education received at for-profit schools. Not all schools are created equally. What you should know about OCI is this: about five years ago, two gentlemen left a well-known, corporate-owned culinary school here in Portland. They started OCI to teach students how to cook, bake, and run restaurants and start-ups, all at a fair price. But -- don't take our word for it. Check out this video with OCI students at the end of their final term speaking candidly about their experiences. We also encourage prospective students to tour the campus, speak to as many students as possible, as well as interview employees working in the industry.
