Businesses need to prepare for the worst

Last month in a webinar sponsored by the Small Business Administration, "Creating a Culture of Preparedness: The 72-Hour Rule," key members of the administration discussed the responsibilities we all have to prepare ourselves, and our businesses, for catastrophe.  The 72-Hour rule refers to the idea that we all should be prepared to go at least 72 hours without help from others, giving rescue personnel time to reach us or the catastrophe time to subside. That means being prepared with at least water and food to last that long. A key recommendation for any business is to first visit this website: http://www.preparemybusiness.orgAlso, resources available at www.ready.gov may be helpful as you plan for your business.
