New online courses: Social Media for Small Business, Starting a Business in NH, and Financing a Business in New Hampshire, Sponsored by Community Bankers Association of NH.

QuickBooks Seminar Series

 

Location for all seminars is Great Bay Community College, 320 Corporate Drive, Portsmouth, NH 03801. Seminars presented by Joan Sweeney of Wrye Unlimited LLC, a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

 

This session will introduce you to QuickBooks, assist you with setting up your company in QuickBooks and teach you how to work with customers and vendors.
     April 13, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

 

This session will help you develop sound financial record-keeping processes using QuickBooks. You will learn how to work with bank accounts, enter sales and invoices, receive payments, enter bills, and analyze financial data.

This session will teach you tips and hints to help you better utilize QuickBooks. You will learn how to increase your efficiency, streamline reporting, practice good security and backup habits, simplify tasks, and create a more productive working environment.

This unique seminar will focus on areas that can lead professional services companies to the next level. You will learn how to: create invoices, track time, share data with Microsoft applications, etc.

QuickBooks reports answer questions about your business and can help you get a complete picture of how well it is doing. This new seminar will teach you the basics of QuickBooks reporting, how to get the most out of the reports, and the best ways to manage reports effectively.

The Hannah Grimes Center will offer two Business Incubator Program Information Sessions on Friday, February 18, 2-3:30 p.m. or Wednesday, March 1, 8-9:30 a.m. Learn about this accelerated growth program for businesses that includes office space, intensive support and networking opportunities. 

 

Making $ense out of the Federal Women's Contracting Program

The NH Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) and the U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) NH District Office are hosting a Women-Owned Small Business Government Contracting training program to highlight the new contracting initiative that became effective on February 4, 2011.

The OSHA Education Center will be hosting two Certification Preparation Courses: the Math Review (April 18), designed for those preparing for ASP, CSP, CHST, or OHST certification exams, and the Occupational Health and Safety Technologist Examination Preparation Workshop (April 19-21).
