Timely Tools for Entrepreneurs

 

Shaheen: Small Business Jobs Act will help businesses expand and create jobs.

The Small Business Jobs Act will help NH small businesses access credit, provide them with tax credits, and enhance their ability to export. The legislation also includes a Shaheen-sponsored measure to strengthen the SBA's Express Loan program by raising the loan limit from $350,000 to $1 million. Additionally, the bill helps small businesses sell their goods and services overseas by strengthening the SBA's and the Department of Commerce's export assistance programs.

 

Healthcare links for Small Businesses

Visit HealthCare.gov to get information aout insurance options, learn about prevention, compare care quality, and more. Smallbusinessmajority.com also has a number of resources, including a calculator that can help your business determine if it is eligible for the health care tax credit, and a summary of what is in healthcare reform for small businesses.

 

SBA Disaster Loans Available in New Hampshire following Secretary of Agriculture Disaster Declaration

The U.S. Small Business Administration announced that federal economic injury disaster loans are available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives and most private non-profit organizations of all sizes located in Cheshire and Sullivan counties in NH as a result of drought and excessive heat that began on June 1, 2010.

Free NH Export Controls Seminar

 The NH International Trade Resource Center is joining with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration Customs Enforcement/Homeland Security Investigations Division and St. Anselm College to host  "New Hampshire Export Controls". The seminar is designed to  provide manufacturers, distributors, retailers and exporters of commodities and technologies controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) an opportunity to learn about export controls.
