NHHTC Accepting 2010 Product of the Year Applications
The annual NHHTC Product of the Year event is an exciting competition that selects the most innovative technology product from a New Hampshire company. The culmination of this competition takes place at the Product of the Year banquet held on November 15th at the Radisson Hotel-Center of NH in Manchester.

Up to five finalist will be selected and awarded the Product of the year Judges' Award. These Finalist Judges' Award Winners will  present their products in a trade show format that includes a 7-minute presentation to the entire banquet audience on the night of November 15th.

Are you Eligible for the Inner City Capital Connection Program?
The U.S. Small Business Administration, the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, and Bank of America announced that they will work together to advance inner city small business growth by supporting the Inner City Capital Connections program.To be eligible for the program, companies must be: headquartered in or have 51 percent or more of a physical operations presence in an economically distressed urban area; and be a for-profit corporation, partnership or proprietorship with revenues of more than $2 million in 2009.
 
The New Hampshire Innovation Research Center (NHIRC) is seeking proposals for its Granite State Technology Innovation Grant, which supports research partnerships for New Hampshire companies with college and university laboratories.  The grants support research projects in new technologies under development in the private sector.  A nonbinding letter of intent on company letterhead is due September 20, 2010.
 
Energy Efficiency Financing Available
Financing for energy-efficiency projects is still available through the
Enterprise Energy Fund of the NH Community Loan Fund and NH CDFA. To be included among the current round of applicants, businesses and nonprofit organizations have until Sept. 13 to submit an Initial Inquiry Form.
 
 
MicroCredit-NH's online health insurance site helps self-employed individuals and small business owners with 1 to 50 employees understand what health insurance options are available in New Hampshire. Both privately and publicly funded options are listed, as well as an option for those who can't afford health insurance.
