SBDC's State Star
 Heidi Edwards Dunn, NH SBDC's Educational Program Coordinator, recently was honored as the Association of Small Business Development Center's 2009 NH State Star at the Association's Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida. Heidi was chosen as NH's State Star by the SBDC's Advisory Board for her work in creating and developing the e-Learning for Entrepreneurs online educational tool. e-Learning has become a staple in the menu of resources that NH SBDC offers to NH business owners. Says SBDC State Director Mary Collins, "Heidi is truly deserving of this national award which recognizes her vision, commitment and entrepreneurial spirit that have made our NH e-Learning program such a huge success". Also present in Orlando were Mary Collins, NH SBDC State Director; Janice Gregory, Associate State Director; Wit Jones, SBA NH District Director; and Amy Bassett, SBA Program Officer.

SBIR Grant Program extended one month
The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill reauthorizing the Small Business Innovation Research grant program through October 31st. For more information on SBIR, click on the links below.
The U.S. Small Business Administration has begun posting informational videos on YouTube as it joins an increasing trend within the federal government to use the popular video-sharing web platform to reach a larger audience. SBA is intent on reaching younger people with its message of entrepreneurship, the importance of small business to the nation's economy, and information on the agency's programs and services. The SBA YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/sba) debuted with a 60-second introduction to SBA, its programs and services, and a 10-part "Delivering Success" series co-produced with the U.S. Postal Service.
