e-Learning for Entrepreneurs

 
NH SBDC's e-Learning for Entrepreneurs provides 24/7 availability of business management and industry-related workshops, seminars, and e-Tools right in your workplace or home.
 
NEW! Business Plan OnLine (BPOL) is an online software product that walks you through the narrative and financial parts of your business plan. Create your start-up or growth business plan on your own, or over time with an SBDC business advisor. BPOL is available for $49 from the SBDC homepage.
 
SBDC's How To's for Business Owners - OnLine, AnyTime are courses in Business Management, Marketing, and Finance.  These are free, 2-3.5 hour courses, which you can take in one sitting or in several via the internet.  Underwritten by Citizens Bank Foundation, NH Department of Environmental Services, Public Service of New Hampshire, Daniel Webster College, and TD Banknorth.

On October 24th, the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center launched its new, online program for NH business owners:  e-Learning for Entrepreneurs, found at www.nhsbdc.org.

e-Learning for Entrepreneurs' How To's for Business Owners, OnLine, AnyTime consists of twenty-one 3-hour courses in business management, finance and marketing.  They are offered at no cost and are available 24/7, thanks to underwriting by premiere sponsors Citizens Bank Foundation, NH Department of Environmental Services and Public Service of New Hampshire, as well as Daniel Webster College and TD Banknorth.

 
New and experienced business owners may take a course in one sitting, or over time, depending on their schedules.  Course titles include:  Crafting Your Business Plan, Accounting 101, Creating Buzz:  Small Business Marketing, and Finding and Attracting Investors. 
 
SBDC believes that www.nhsbdc.org's e-Learning for Entrepreneurs is an invaluable resource for NH entrepreneurs, utilizing today's technology to provide knowledge, tools, and resources to help the state's business owners strengthen their firms and be sustainable.  We encourage you to watch for future additions to the program.

FREE 2009 Small Business Tax Calendar
Now is the time to place your order for the IRS 2009 Small Business/Self Employed Tax Calendar. This 12-month illustrated wall calendar is filled with helpful information on various topics of interest. 
 
The U.S. SBA unveiled a new Web site geared to the 50-plus entrepreneur, providing useful information, links and resources vital to starting, growing and expanding a business.
 
Legislative changes will make a U.S. SBA loan program more accessible to small businesses facing financial loss when the owner or essential employee is called to active military duty by extending the application period, increasing the unsecured loan threshold, and raising the maximum loan limit.

Business Basics
This workshop is for people who are interested in learning the fundamentals of starting and running a business the right way.  Some subjects covered are the pros and cons of being in business, registering your business, choosing the business form (LLC, sole proprietor, etc.), basics of accounting and record keeping, understanding your market, basic business law, cash flow planning and budgeting, and how financing really works.
