Timely Tools for Entrepreneurs
The New Hampshire High Technology Council is pleased to announce its call for applications for the Council's 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year Award. All nominations, including self-nominations, are strongly encouraged. Application deadline is April 15, 2008 and the Awards Banquet will be held on June 9.
 
New Hampshire HealthFirst
Many small businesses struggle to provide health insurance to their workers. A new state policy initiative, New Hampshire HealthFirst, is trying to address this concern.  It will help provide small businesses and their workers with new, more affordable health insurance choices. It requires every insurance carrier insuring more than 1,000 covered lives in New Hampshire to offer a standard health wellness plan.

Microcredit-NH is pleased to announce the launch of its 2008 Coos County Entrepreneurial Program (CCEP).  The CCEP has been designed to assist Coos County's self-employed individuals and small business owners to further develop their businesses and enhance the quality of jobs in the region.  Applications for the 2008-09 class, beginning in September, are currently being accepted.
 
USDA Rural Development is soliciting applications for $18.4 million in competitive grant funds to help independent agricultural producers enter into value-added market activities.
