Handcrafted Marketing Workshop Series
Hands-on Marketing & Promotion
For Crafts and Artisan-Based Businesses


Based on the classic 4 P's of marketing - product, price, place, and promotion, this four-part workshop series will guide artisan and crafts-based businesses through the marketing process.  Presenter: David Deziel, Nebesek Marketing & Communication.

GOALS:
Develop a solid understanding of critical marketing concepts; learn about marketing tools and how to use them effectively; create a cohesive and coordinated marketing message and, build a practical, actionable marketing plan that can be implemented for the growth of your artisan-based business. This workshop series is ideal for producing crafts people and artisans who have at least six months of business experience in their craft and are committed to significantly growing their artisan-based business.

The Fundamentals of Marketing: An Approach for Your Artisan-Based Business - What you do; why you do it; who you do it for; and how you describe your work to others.

Monday, April 30
The Connectedness of Marketing: How You Price, and Where You Sell - The importance of linking your business vision to pricing tactics, and sales and distribution channels.

Monday, May 21
Marketing & Promotion Essentials: Image, Positioning, Planning & Measuring - Build your promotional plan from the ground up - what image do you project; who are your target markets; how to plan for effective marketing activities.

Monday, June 4
Plan Your Marketing Work: Work Your Marketing Plan - The essential steps you must take to promote effectively; the pros and cons of various promotional tactics; implementing marketing campaigns and making it happen!

SCHEDULE, COST & LOGISTICS:
  • $99/person when you register for all four workshops; $40/person for individual workshops. (Scholarships are available.)
  • Workshops may be attended a la carte, but are designed to work together as a cohesive learning experience.
  • People signing up for the entire series will have priority over those signing up for individual workshops. Maximum attendance per workshop is 12.
