Greetings!,

Here at ACC&D headquarters, we're already seeing signs of spring. This winter has been a rough one for many of us; bad news has been in abundance. But spring feels like a time of opportunity, of great things just around the corner. Crocuses are erupting from the earth. Buds are swelling on the trees. Each day has a bit more sun than the day before. And at ACC&D, we're feeling a sense of hope, anticipation, and gratitude.

I hope you'll take a moment to read the exciting updates below about veterinary connections, our
work on a field project using an injectable sterilant in a remote Guatemala community, and our new Product Profiles and Position Pieces on Megestrol Acetate and FeralStat™, below.

Feral on streetFrom all of us at ACC&D, here's to a season of opportunity, progress, and, last but not least, economic recovery.

Sincerely,

The situation, and how non-surgical sterilants are helping
Girl with dog in Columbia "Of the estimated 500 million dogs in the world, approximately 75% are unowned or loosely owned"

In many developing countries, the situation for these free-roaming dogs constitutes a crisis for the welfare of the animals and the health of the community. Read more in this article from our Organizational Partner the World Society for Protection of Animals (WSPA).

We were delighted to support the Veterinarians without Borders-Canada campaign using the injectable sterilant, EsterilSol™, to sterilize male dogs in remote Todos Santos, Guatemala. Pre- and post-campaign surveys and follow-up will provide important new learning about EsterilSol use. We thank the Parsemus Foundation and Pegasus Foundation for underwriting our sponsorship of this project. Stay tuned for a report on the campaign next month!
