If you weren't there for our big announcement with the Found Animal Foundation at the SPAY/USA Conference last week, you'll be excited to hear the news: surgeon, inventor and philanthropist Dr. Gary Michelson is offering a $25 million prize for the first entity to develop a single dose sterilant for male and female cats and dogs, and up to $50 million in grants to support research toward that end.
This initiative is, without doubt, the biggest thing to happen in our field. ACC&D has long seen the need for an infusion of funding to attract researchers and advance science in cat and dog fertility control. Dr. Michelson has risen to that challenge, and we are delighted to be working closely with the Found Animal Foundation on this initiative. Please read on below to learn more.
