Greetings!
Mark your calendars for a new program series. "HPL Presents" takes place on the third Thursday evening of the month. Start times may vary, depending on the program, so keep that in mind. | | Clair Boone of Mummy Deals.org |
The series starts Thursday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. Clair Boone, newspaper columnist and blogger, teaches her SAVVY SHOPPING CLASS. Clair is the founder of MUMMY DEALS, and will teach you how to use coupons, rebates and sales to stretch your grocery dollar. Save on toiletries and specialty items too.
Clair believes in giving back, so she's asking those who attend the class to bring a nonperishable food item, which she will donate to a local pantry. Join us for this free program! To guarantee a seat and a copy of Clair's handouts, please RSVP by clicking here, or calling HPL at (219) 931-5100, Ext. 310. Thank you to the Friends of the Library for sponsoring this program. ________________________________________ Tax forms are the second floor, near the Information Desk. Staff cannot answer tax questions, but can direct you to books about tax preparation, and can provide information on tax preparation volunteers in Northwest Indiana. _______________________________________ DVD fee: To help defray our budget shortfall, starting on Feb. 13, the library will charge $1 for each DVD checked out. This fee is nonrefundable. At this time, the $1 fee does not include video games, VHS tapes, CDs or audiobooks. Overdue fines for videos remain $1 a day. |
