January 27, 2012
Greetings!

Where has the month gone? Please join us for some great February programs for all ages. See below for details.

Tax forms: This year, forms are on the second floor near the Information Services desk. Take the stairs or the elevator; head toward the Info Desk,
and turn left
at the copier.

Tri-Kappa conducts its annual Prom Dress Resale on March 17. The library serves as a collection site for gently used formal wear. Items may be brought to the front desk from February 27 to March 15. Receipts are given, if requested, for tax purposes.

DVD fee: To help defray our budget shortfall, starting Feb. 13 HPL will charge $1 for each DVD checked out. This fee is nonrefundable. At this time, the $1 fee does not include video games, DVDs, CDs or audiobooks. Overdue fines for videos remain $1 a day.

Holiday hours: The library will be closed Mon., Feb. 20 for Presidents Day, and also Tues., March 6 for staff training.

Quiz/Essay contest: HPL celebrates African American History Month with a program Thursday, February 16 at 6:30 p.m. "Making Our Voices Heard" features a performance by the Golden Tones. Also, we will announce the winners of our African American Quiz and Essay Contest, which is open to eligible students in grades 5 and 6. Click here for information on the contest.
