Just a notice to remind you that all Hammond Public Library locations are closed Monday, July 4, for the holiday. Hammond's yearly Independence Day Celebration is Monday July 4, 2011 at The Pavilion
at Wolf Lake, at 2324 Calumet Avenue, Hammond. The City of Hammond and the Hammond Port Authority invite families to congregate and picnic at the park during the day. Food vendors are available. The Hammond Public Library hosts a patriotic music concert in the band shell starting 5:30 pm and at 6 pm, a Naturalization Ceremony. After the ceremony, the Bill Porter Orchestra will play, and continue to play during the fireworks display which starts at dusk. Free admission.
