Starting with the Sept. 2010 issue,Bookends will be mailed only to members of Friends of the Library. This is being done to save money and be environmentally friendly. These options are available: - If you join the Friends, you'll receive Bookends as a benefit of membership (see the application at the bottom of this e-newsletter).
- Anyone may also view Bookends via our website (you must have Adobe Acrobat, a free software program, installed on your computer).
- Anyone may pick up a current Bookends at any HPL location.
- Anyone may receive this free e-newsletter, HPL eXTRA! twice a month. Just sign up on our library homepage.

These items may be used in various ways: placed in the library collection, offered for sale in the Book Sale Room, or sold online. Items that cannot be sold are donated to a recycling center for distribution to underprivileged areas, or recycled to help save the environment. __________________________________
