The National Endowment for the Humanities is offering a funding opportunity called Summer Seminars and Institutes. This is open to any U.S. nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status; state and local governmental agencies; and tribal governments.

The Summer Seminars and Institutes grants support faculty development programs in the humanities for school teachers and for college and university teachers. The Summer Seminars and Institutes may be as short as two weeks or as long as six weeks. The duration of a program should allow for a rigorous treatment of its topic.

The deadline to apply for the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Seminars and Institutes grant program is March 2, 2010.
