Because He Said Yes
 ... the reason for a blessed day.
Greetings!

I hope you are making the most of the Easter season with reflection and heightened awareness regarding the love of Jesus. This coming week is known as "Holy Week" in the Christian faith. It is called Holy Week as it was the last week of life for Jesus. It is the week He ultimately said "Yes".

In the timeline of the life of Jesus, this past Sunday marked His triumphant entry into Jerusalem. The crowd shouted "Hosanna" as Jesus entered thinking He would be their political and social King. Soon they would shout, "Crucify Him!" and He would become our Spiritual King. The reason for this undying love and devotion to the cause of love, forgiveness and eternal life ... He said Yes!

Because Jesus said "Yes" to the Father's plan of salvation and redemption you and I have life and life more abundantly (John 10:10). Because Jesus said yes to the pain, shame and tragedy of Holy Week, you and I have access to peace and the provision of Heaven. Because Jesus said "Yes" to agony and the depth of sorrow that the cross inflicted, you and I have joy and eternal life. Because he said "Yes" you have all you need.

Why Every Day Can Be A Blessed Day!

 21 I will give you thanks, for you answered me; you have become my salvation.  22 The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone;  23 the LORD has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.  24 This is the day the LORD has made;
       let us rejoice and be glad in it.

~ Psalm 118:21-24 ~

31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died-more than that, who was raised to life-is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

~ Romans 8:31-35 ~

Why we can choose blessing ...

Our day's are rarely up to us. You can plan your day, week, month and year but there are so many variables out of your control. Thus, you can plan but you are not in control of the outcomes. You need to do your part but recognize that God has already provided for the plan and the outcome. Psalm 118 reminds us that God is in control. He is in control because He said "Yes!"

The difference between you, me and God is that He makes and keeps plans despite the outcome. The Father's plan was simple but costly - become one of them and save them by your life and sacrificial death. Holy Week reminds us that Jesus gave it all despite hostility, apathy, hatred and scorn. Jesus went to the cross knowing the outcome because He said "Yes" to the plan. Jesus did this because He is love (1 John 4:8) and nothing can separate us from His great love. He knew what He would face and He still said "Yes"!

This week, take some time to reflect on what Jesus has done for you. Think through what it meant for Him to say "Yes!" Every day is a great day because Jesus said "Yes!" It is our choice to walk in the truth of God's plan and purpose. The outcomes of life are not guaranteed but the love of God is! Make every day great by looking at Jesus for support, strength and His plan. Say "yes" to the day and your life because Jesus said "Yes!" to save you.

24 This is the day the LORD has made;
       let us rejoice and be glad in it.
