We wanted to give you an update on some of the great things happening this holiday season. Please enjoy the stories of hope listed below and take a minute to view Covenant's Annual Report, which highlights the services we have provided this year. Thank you for your prayers and support. We look forward to another year filled with opportunities to serve God through this ministry to children in foster care and their families.

Covenant Officially Opens Sub-Office in Covina, CA
Covenant has received licensure for the sub-office in Covina. Covina Assembly of God will be administering foster care and royal family kids' camp in the coming year. We are very excited to begin offering foster family services in Los Angeles County. Please pray for the success of this office, as they begin to recruit families who are willing to care for children and teens in foster care. Covenant Gives Car to Building Blocks Youth
Because of the generosity of one of Covenant's prayer partners, Dion received a car! He has been working diligently since coming to Building Blocks and recently passed the test for his driver's license. Several auto shops donated their time to give the car a tune-up and Covenant gladly presented Dion with the car in November. To see the video click here. |
Covenant Adoptions
Little Brandon came into our agency needing a mom and dad. He was placed with the Graces who specialize in kids who are going home. At first it looked like he was going to be reunited with his mom. But when that option failed he was in a need of a forever family. The graces took Brandon to church every Sunday. One of the workers in the nursery got to know him. Kathy Tennison and her whole family fell in love Brandon. When she found out Brandon was not going home, the Tennisons became a certified foster family and Brandon was placed in their home. What a wonder fit! Brandon loves his new family and the Tennison love Brandon. They started the adoption process and one year later and November 14, 2008 Brandon became a Tennison! Congratulations! Another child finds a forever family through the ministry of Covenant Community Services!
Additionally, the Scheer Family will be adopting Sarah later this month. We are so excited for Sarah, who has found a forever family! |
