Results in ... Jesus is King!
Trust God know matter what.
Greetings!

Today is election day in the United States of America. Today, we elect a new president, various officials and vote on key propositions. There is much at stake for our Country. Nonetheless, there is an aspect of the election that is of no consequence and that is the decision of who is our King and Lord!

The results are in ... Jesus is King and Lord and no one can vote Him out! The decision has been made in Heaven no matter what MSNBC, FOX, CNN or any pundit states ... Jesus is King!

During the election season, I witness many individuals and groups fail to recognize that Jesus is Lord and King. Often, we get so wrapped up in what "we" think is the "right" choice that we fail to realize God has the final say. He is sovereign and although we have responsibility (this means "go" and vote as the Lord leads) the decision and outcome is ultimately in the hands of God. So, act but always trust in the Lord. He is our King and He will make provision for His Kingdom.

Below are two passages I find very comforting in this season. They remind me that God is in control and that we are not. We must do our part to live for our King and His Kingdom while recognizing our need to trust His sovereign grace, mercy and care.

Message Header

13 Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, Or as His counselor has taught Him? 14 With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him, And taught Him in the path of justice? Who taught Him knowledge, And showed Him the way of understanding? 15 Behold, the nations are as a drop in a bucket, And are counted as the small dust on the scales; Look, He lifts up the isles as a very little thing.

~ Isaiah 40:13-15 ~

9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

~ Philippians 2:9-11 ~

You can't vote Him in and you can't vote Him out but you can say "I trust you King Jesus!"

As followers of Jesus we are to be different than non-followers. After all, Jesus is our King and Lord and He is providing direction to our lives. As such, we must be people who show non-followers the way through our unwavering trust in Jesus our King.  We do this in times like these when the world is shaking under the weight of uncertainty yet we stand firm on the promises of God.  We do this as we hold strong due to our firm trust in Jesus and not the results of an election.

The world systems, and those individuals that do not yet know Jesus as King, still think and behave as if they decide who runs the show. They don't. You know it and I know it but the world still thinks it can vote on morality as if God is going to change His mind! The world still thinks it can legislate the definition of marriage or life. It can't. God has decided the definition of marriage. God has decided the definition of life. No matter what the election results state ... the definitions in the Kingdom don't change! We must do our part to enforce the Kingdom and then simply trust Jesus!

I am not going to predict the elections nor tell you how to vote but I will tell you that the true results are in ... Jesus is King and we win! I give all glory and honor to my King and Lord and suggest you do the same today. I trust the One who has never broken a promise. I trust in the One that some day all we call King Jesus! He is Lord! He is God! Trust in Him and Him alone. All else is rubbish.

For King and Kingdom,
