Concordia Partners With the Community |
Concordia University Wisconsin continues to reach out to enhance our community through several recent partnerships. The University will be a major sponsor for the second successive year of Gathering on The Green, July 8-10 at Rotary Park in Mequon. This year's event, which begins with jazz pianist Willie Pickens and The Tierney Sutton Band on Thursday, culminates with the traditional Best of the Performing Arts on Saturday night, featuring The Milwaukee Ballet, Florentine Opera soloists, members of The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and The Trinity Irish Dancers.
Concordia also hosted the annual WE Energies Shareholder's Meeting on campus in early May for the third time in the past five years in the R. John Buuck Field House, and just this past week, the Rite-Hite YMCA of Milwaukee held a morning, fund raising kickoff event on our bluff.

 Concordia's School of Business and Legal Studies has released the Spring 2010 edition of its Bench-Mark publication. The Bench-Mark provides updates and timely articles about the School and the business world at large to keep the Concordia business community connected. The Bench-Mark is available on the CUW website. |
Two of the School of Business and Legal Studies' finest students got a first-hand look at the European Union and the challenges therein with a series of summer classes through our sister University- FH O� Studienbetriebs GmbH -Upper Austria University. MBA student Doris de Fatima Hansen and undergrad Brittany Wippermann each received a taste of international flavor as they participated in a summer program scheduled to bring students together from around the world in a unique learning environment. Dr. Borst, dean of the school, led the Concordia initiative, and taught international business American-style while participating in the event. Concordia has several strategic international alliances which allow our students unique opportunities to meet and solve the most pressing issues in global business today. The university also offers incentive grants to students to encourage participation in global outreach.
