Apple Harvest Festival at
Carter Mountain Orchard 
It's an annual event for so many of you. This year's Apple Harvest Festival will be held this weekend (October 3rd and 4th) and next weekend (October 10th and 11th). As is tradition, we will offer music, crafts, food, hayrides, and lots of apples to pick!
This weekend, you can pick your own Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Jonagold, Stayman, and York. We'll start Fuji, Winesap, Granny Smith, and Braeburn by next weekend. Many of you have been asking about Pink Lady, and they are generally ripe around the 4th week in October - so be patient!!!!
We have lots of ready-picked apples available each day, and when you visit our Country Store, you will find apple butter, apple cider (buy plenty for winter - you can freeze it!), jams and jellies, local crafts, seasonal gifts, and much more.
The Carter Mountain Bakery has expanded, and we are cranking out our famous Apple Cider Donuts faster than ever! If you've never tried our apple pie or apple caramel cookies, you are missing out! The bakery is open every day.
The Mountain Grill is our new addition for this season! Stop by the Grill (located in the Bakery Barn) for breakfast biscuits and lunch foods. The Grill is open every day in October, and weekends in November.
At trip to Carter Mountain is now not complete with out a stop in our Wine Shop and Tasting Room! We've been growing wine grapes for several years; now you can taste and purchase these wines! Open every day from 11-6!.

Chiles Peach Orchard 
We are now thinking apples at Chiles!
Pick Your Own Granny Smith apples has started, and will continue every day! Pick Your Own Fuji apples will start approximately October 10th.
Our Pumpkin Patch will open approximately October 10th - come find your own perfect pumpkin! Lots of ready-picked pumpkins are now available!
Ready picked apples are available every day - currently we have Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Gala, Jonathan, and Macintosh. We are also stocked with ready-picked pumpkins, jams and jellies, apple cider, and local crafts. It's not too early start thinking about holiday gifts!
Need a treat? Our ice cream parlor is open every day, and we offer cider slushies (choose from apple or peach). Our Fudge Kitchen has been busy - you have GOT to try the Apple Pie Fudge - (yes, Apple Pie Fudge) - i'ts just amazing!
