Autumn is in the air, and the mountain is gearing up for the season!  Read on and plan your trip for apple picking, donut eating, and more!

The picking is great right now - this weekend, you can snag some Gala, Jonagold, Golden Delicious, and Red Delicious.  Other varieties will ripen soon.  See our Apple Availability chart to find out when your favorite apples come in season.
 
Donuts, anyone?  Our bakery is busy cranking out plenty of our famous Apple Cider Donuts, as well as Apple Pie, Apple Caramel Cookies, and more.  We know it's fall when we start smelling donuts around here!
 
You've been waiting, and finally it's here - Apple Cider will be available by the cup and by the gallon beginning on Saturday, September 20th!  Another sure sign of autumn!
 
Have you visited our new Wine Shop?  Come for a free tasting of wines made from grapes grown right here on Carter Mountain.  Wine shop is open 11-6 daily.

School Field Trips
It's not too late to book a field trip for your pre-school, elementary, home school, and day care groups for this fall! 
 
We are again offering our Apple Picking Field Trip, which includes story time (pre-k) or educational presentation (SOL specific) and apple picking.  You can also choose a hayride, a pumpkin, and/or a snack for the group.  Last year almost 7,000 students took advantage of this unique learning experience.  Click here for more information and to register your group.  Apple picking field trips are available Monday-Friday in September and October.
