Happy Thanksgiving! All of us at Carter
Mountain Orchard would like to thank you for your
wonderful support and patronage this season. We
would also like to remind you that we are still open
on weekends with a wide variety of apples and
delicious apple cider. You can even still pick a few
apples!
We have an excellent supply of already-picked
apples - choose from Red Delicious, Golden Delicious,
Stayman, Granny Smith, Winesap, York, Rome, and
Fuji, to name a few. Buy a few for your holiday
weekend, or a bushel or 2 to keep for the winter.
Store
apples in a cool, dry place (refrigerator, basement,
garage) for best keeping.
There are still some Fuji on the trees, just waiting to
be picked! Bring those out-of-town guests up to the
mountain this weekend to enjoy the stunning views
and delicious apples. Our bakery has closed for this
season, but do browse our shop for apple butter and
other treats.
We will be open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
until December 23rd - if the weather is
questionable, please call ahead.
Carter Mountain Orchard is located just off exit 121
from I-64, on Route 53, in Charlottesville. We are
adjacent
to Michie Tavern and Monticello.
