Europeans Entry Deadline This Friday 3 July
 
Melges 24 Worlds Bow On
The entry deadline for the 09 European Championship, being held in Hyeres from 21-28 August, is this Friday 3 July.  Entries submitted after this date will be subject to a Euro 210 late entry surcharge.

The final entry deadline and the date by which all Corinthian crew names and ISAF classification deadlines must be submitted is Saturday 1 August.  Click here for more info and the event website.

John Porter Gives Justin The Lowdown On The Full Throttle Campaign

Brothers Brian and John Porter and their Full Throttle program have been at the top of the Melges 24 domestic and international regatta scene since the inception of the class. 2009 sees no let up in their passion for the Melges 24 and shortly after this article was put together the siblings edged a three way tie with Dave Ullman and Bruce Ayres to win the US National Championship title for a record setting fourth time. Melges 24s Take Part In Famous Round The Island Race
 
RoundTheIslandRaceIt's not every day you get to race your Melges 24 against more than 1700 other boats but the midsummer weekend saw several of the UK Melges 24 teams compete in the legendary Round The Island race from Cowes, Isle of Wight. UK Class Secretary Helen Middleton-Stewart and her team came a very creditable 42nd out of 1700 and brings us a great report from this unusual race.  Click here for full story.
