Online Registration Declared Officially Open For 2009 Melges 24 Worlds

The 2009 Melges 24 World Championship, organized by the Eastport Yacht Club is now accepting registration online.  Also, Notice of Race (NOR) amendment no. 1 for the 2009 Worlds has been posted online that further clarifies arbitration, late entry surcharges, the schedule of events and the venue facilities.  Click here for full details.

Norway Establishes Alpha Romeo Cup Series

The Norwegian Melges 24 Class has confirmed that it has taken the next step for the Melges 24 Class in Northern Europe and established a cup offering some prioritized regattas especially open to and facilitated for the international Melges 24 fleet.  The Norwegian Melges 24 Alfa Romeo Cup comprises five regattas - click here for full details.

Melges 24 Adopted By Royal Bulgarian Yacht Club 
 
Fully HikedThe Melges 24 fleet in Bulgaria is now becoming established and in 2008 there were four Melges 24s regularly racing on the Black Sea from Varna.  Recognising the importance of the Melges 24, the Royal Bulgarian Yacht Club has adopted the boat as it's principle one-design keelboat fleet.  Click here for full story.

Melges 24 Revised Judging Notes Published
 
Melges 24To reflect recent changes in the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing and the Melges 24 Class Rules the guidance notes provided to judges for on the water judging in the Melges 24 Class have now been updated.  Event organisers are requested to ensure that all judges/jury members receive a copy of these guidance notes prior to the start of each event to assist them in their work.  Click here for full details.
