It's a brand new year and I'd like to welcome you to a brand new Melges 24 E-newsletter. We hope this new and improved version of our monthly letter attracts your attention to keep tuned to what�s happening around in this magnificant Melges 24 family.
As well as redesigning the format, each month we will also be bring you a host of special features by the IMCA's new Press Officer Justin Chisholm. A lot has happened since late 2000 when we officially came into the wonderful world of digital media with www.melges24.com. Now nine years laters www.melges24.com attracts during the high seasons over 120,000 visits per month. The first evolution from www.melges24.com, the monthly IMCA E-newsletter, saw daylight in early in 2005.

Worlds 2009 Dates Revised |
The dates for the 2009 Melges 24 World Championship to be hosted by Eastport Yacht Club, Annapolis, have been brought forward by one week and will now take place from October 23 to October 31 with haul out on 1 November. 2009 Class Rules Now Published |
ISAF has now published the 2009 edition of the International Melges 24 Class Rules. As well as including our rule changes they have also been reformatted to meet ISAF's new standard format and to incorporate the new Racing Rules of Sailing and Equipment Rule of Sailing information.

Reggie Fairchild Tells All |

The Melges 24 will be on display at both the Helsinki & Budapest Boat Shows during February.

The Finnish and Estonian Melges 24 Fleet sends regards from the middle of snow and ice and wants to remind you about an excellent race weekend for studying the town and waters of Tallinn just one year prior of the Worlds 2010 - the Nordic Open Championships.
