Navigating the Networking Jungle
Regardless of your industry, the word "networking" can strike fear in your heart as the thought of it creates sweaty palms, nausea, and wanting to hide under the covers. And no wonder! It's a networking jungle out there!
Everywhere one turns these days it seems new networking groups sprout from nowhere. Whether online, via phone or in-person, the purpose of these groups is to promote their events to help you thrive and survive by making connections and creating profitable relationships.
If you don't know what you're doing, you can network morning, noon and night and feel like you're doggy paddling to keep your head above water while wasting valuable time, energy and money.
Whether you are an:
- entrepreneur looking for new business
- a sales professional looking for new prospects
- a job searcher looking to make connections
networking is a must. There's just no way around it.
What would it be like to:
- become a networking pro that knows what to do and how to do it with confidence, competence and ease?
- to attend a social event knowing you present yourself with a strong and positive first impression
- easily attract just the right people to network with?
That's what I'm going to help you to do.
Each week I'm going to focus on a different networking topic to help you succeed.
Regardless of whether you are job searching or wanting more business, my tips will help you sharpen your skills.
Tip #1 - Getting noticed is a key to attracting business. Ask yourself, does your energy, the way you dress, the way you communicate attract the right kind of attention? Are you attracting prospects or pushing them away? Ask a trusted colleague for feedback and listen to what they say. (You'll hear me say that a lot!)
To learn more about networking join us Monday, March 16th for the "Navigating the Networking Jungle" Clinic from 8:30a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or Friday, March 20th from 1p.m. to 5p.m. Click here to register.
To your success!
