"To all of you who are praying for Grace Apostolic Church of Joplin, Sis. Deborah Spell Garrett, Bro. Gary W. Garrett, and Bro. Bill Garrett. They need not only need your prayers, but they are also in need of financial help. They have lost their source of
income, as he was self-employed. Even though Bro. Bill Garrett's home is still standing, all the windows are blown out and there is water damage. They have no electricity, so they cannot live there. In fact, they cannot even go into that area to check on the contents of their home.
This is a small church. Eight families in the church have lost everything- their homes, vehicles, clothes, etc. - plus, half of them were employed by St. John's Med center, which is no longer standing, and others have lost their jobs as their businesses were in the direct path of the tornado.
All these families, plus the Garretts, are all camping in the church, in need of basics: food, water, toiletries, and clothes. Your financial support would be appreciated through Wal-Mart gift cards, checks, or PayPal. Any donation you can give, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated. Because they are an independent church, there is no organization to help them through this devastating loss, and immediate need of food and income. This church family loves this One God Message, and has been faithful through the years. I don't want to sit idly by and not do something.

What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
