Leone d'Oro Wines
OSIA's exclusive line of quality imported Italian wines, Leone D'Oro™ (Golden Lion), is garnering admiration across the country. Here's a description of the Marche Sangiovese 2009: "This Marche Sangiovese demonstrates an aroma of red fruit and violets. The flavor is a unique combination of spice and pepper with a hint of sweetness. A great compliment to many traditional Italian dishes, including pasta with red sauce, semi-mature cheeses and pork."

Save AP Italian - Special Update
Special Update: With the help of Sons of Italy members and supporters, the Advanced Placement high school program in Italian will be reinstated. The program, however, will always require additional support to maintain. It's critical that this program be funded because many high school students who study Italian hope to take the AP exam and place out of freshman Italian in college. Without the possibility of AP credit, far fewer students will study Italian in high school or in college, choosing to gravitate to Spanish or French instead. Both are fine languages, but they are not the language of our Italian ancestors. Will you help us continue to preserve our language and support this important language program?
