Dr. Clyde Yancy visits GW as Understein Memorial Lecturer

The Understein Memorial Lecture Fund was established in 1978 by the family of Jack Understein, in gratitude for the care provided at GW's Division of Cardiology. This annual lectureship is managed by the GW Cardiovascular Institute and affords us the ability to enhance the educational experience of our cardiovascular fellows. On May 9th and 10th, Dr. Clyde Yancy delivered cardiology and medical grand rounds on the topic of heart failure for 200 medical professionals at GW and met with cardiology fellows to discuss current topics in cardiac care.

Every year on March 30, patients and their families have a special opportunity to thank those who are most responsible for their healthcare. National Doctor's Day is an opportunity for physicians and patients to come together for the important cause of advancing medicine. This year, nearly $10,000 was raised from Doctor's Day donations made to the GW Cardiovascular Institute to honor cardiology physicians and support their important work in research, community outreach, and education. Thank you to all who gave on March 30th this year.
