Sat Nam, dear sisters and brothers,
I am preparing mentally, physically and spiritually for my journey to Summer Solstice, as I am sure many of you are too. It is a time that I look forward to be with my spiritual family, to devote to my being, to replenish myself, and to clarify my intentions for the following year. At this time in 2012, with the many shifts occurring, I feel the calling to be at my thirteenth Summer Solstice to be the strongest.
The Age of Aquarius is an age of consciousness, community, intuition, meditation, inner strength, and service - all of which we have a chance to practice and live at Solstice. As my husband Sat Sang says, all of the practices of Solstice together are a kriya - the cold showers, early morning sadhana, the diet, karma yoga, yoga and meditation classes, White Tantric Yoga, Gurdwara, and even the rustic living on the sacred land. All of the teachings of Yogi Bhajan are represented, and even if we are not able to participate in all of the parts, as a group we are doing this entire kriya together.
This year I look forward to sharing with you the class, "Embodying the Teachings through Celestial Communication," on Friday, June 15th, 3:45-5:15 pm at the Earth tent. This class is inspired by the Yogi Bhajan teaching that in order to have an impact on another being, we must express our communication through our body. We also affect our own soul with this sacred body language, communicating through our innocence back to our authentic self. It is not enough in this age to think, or even speak enlightened words, but now is the time to move with these words, and to embody these words with our presence, and to bring our body, mind, and spirit into harmonious alignment with the vibration of truth, the shabd guru. The technology of Celestial Communication is creative, relaxing, and incredibly healing. Yogi Bhajan spoke of this method of meditation becoming more and more important in the times to come. I have created new Celestial Communications for this class to divine songs by our beloved 3HO musicians to connect us with the element of Ether. Whether you are brand new to this technology, or an experienced teacher, please join us for this experience!
On Peace Prayer Day, there is another special event that I would like to invite you to. I have joined with Ravi Kaur, who for many, many years has created the exciting bhangra dances (and I am happy to have been one of her dancers!) for Peace Prayer Day at Summer Solstice. The vision for the dance this year is that peace begins within each of us. Ravi Kaur and the bhangra dancers will once again perform a joyful bhangra dance, and then the children of Solstice will join the dancers for the song "Man in the Mirror," to look at ourselves and the changes we can make within to create peace on Earth. There is still time for children attending Peace Prayer Day to join in this dance! Please watch the demonstration video and learn the dance so that you can join us on stage during Peace Prayer Day. The more children, the merrier! And for everyone else, please join us to see this inspiring dance with the children on Peace Prayer Day.
There will be so many special moments at Summer Solstice, I cannot wait to see you there!
All love and blessings,
Adarsh Kaur
