Fuerte...

A True Survivor!

Meet "Fuerte," which means "strong" in Spanish, a name this amazing animal truly deserves.  She was slashed to the bone across her head with a machete in one of the cruelest acts of abuse.  PAR's vets performed emergency surgery and were able to save her eye and repair her fractured skull.  Fuerte is now healing and receiving the love she desperately needs, safe at PAR's new shelter.

Please consider a donation to help with her vet bills.

Rescue Update
Little Joe Is Hanging in There!

Once a Mexican street dog in dire straits, Joe is starting to grow small amounts of fuzz on his delicate skin.  While he remains very thin, he is eating more now and appears to be gaining a little weight.  The best news...he's been caught wagging his tail!  PAR will continue to send updates on this special dog.  Check out Joe's video from his foster mom.
