ARTZ & Massachusetts Museums Partner to Offer Free, Weekly Dementia Specific Programs
For the fourth consecutive year ARTZ has teamed up with  Massachusetts based cultural institutions to offer free weekly events for those with dementia and their care partners. ARTZ is delighted to offer programs at the following museums: deCordova Museum & Sculpture Park in Lincoln, Fuller-Craft Museum in Brockton, Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline, and Harvard University's Museum of Natural History and Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology in Cambridge. ARTZ is an initiative of the 501(c)(3) I'm Still Here Foundation, founded in 2001, with the purpose of enhancing the cultural and creative life of people living with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia. ARTZ draws on the support and collaboration of artists and cultural institutions, as a collective resource, to share, educate, and inspire. ARTZ has developed dementia-specific cultural access programs with some of the worlds most renowned cultural institutions, which include: the Louvre in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Kohler Arts Center in Wisconsin, the National Gallery of Australia, the Big Apple Circus, and the Tribeca Film Institute, among others. ARTZ has organized and facilitated over 400 community events, serving more than 10,000 people living with dementia and their care partners. ARTZ chapters have been developed in Boston, New York City, San Francisco, Sacramento, the United Kingdom and Paris.
