I can't thank you enough, Vimala, for doing what you do and guiding others in seeing themselves in a new way and moving ahead with a happy heart. This is what your writing did for me, and I know it saved my life. My only son was in the ground forces in Afghanistan, and was killed by a roadside bomb. My life fell apart---absolutely apart. I went for grief counseling but all I did was talk, and it didn't help; the pain was too deep.
I went to our local bookstore to find a book that had been written by someone who had lost a child. Because I've known the owner for years, she walked me over to the "self-help" section and handed me your Transform Your Life Through Handwriting kit. "Handwriting? But my handwriting's a scrawl! And besides I want a book that..." before I could finish, Ella had a look in her eye that told me I needed to read the book, and she said, "I know you read a book from cover to cover, Dorothy, but with this book, I want you to begin by reading the Afterword first---but not till you get home." In all these years Ella has always suggested just the right book, so who was I to doubt...but I sure was puzzled. Handwriting? Begin by reading a book backwards? What was she thinking?!
When I got home I curled up in my favorite chair and began to read the Afterword in your Guidebook--and of course I cried. You let us know that when your two children died, your grief became a "wake-up" call, and had you realize that nothing would stop you from doing what you love---nothing! even though you didn't know how. I sent you a handwritten letter thanking you for sharing this, and you suggested that I begin practicing three letters, including the letter , for 40 days, and to write out each of their Declarations of Intent. After the first 40 days you recommended I add the Letters and .
I want to share this story from my heart with your readers so they will know that after six months of writing each day, I am now in junior college (what a dream!) heading toward a certificate in a career I've wanted my whole life---something I never would have done before Will died. Not ever. I could actually feel him urging me on, especially when I wrote the and the . Before he died, I felt I wasn't good enough or smart enough to have a real career in the world. Now I know better, and I'm so excited. I feel his presence a lot. What a gift.
Thank you, Vimala for your gift of the letters. I write all of them now. In the beginning, though, writing the Letter puzzled me. Now I understand, and I write one line of them every morning in honor of Will. Thank you again.

After years of study and research, Vimala Rodgers developed The Vimala Alphabet. Each letter shape is designed specifically to bring your hidden talents and abilities to life. As you begin to adopt self-affirming writing patterns, you naturally release those that are self-limiting, and at the same time you reconfigure the neurological patterns in your brain. This process is invaluable for people who are determined to let go of the past and stride ahead fully expressed in life. In scientific circles it is called neuroplasticity or cortical remapping. All it takes is pen and paper.
Does it work? You bet it does! -- every time. Pick up your pen and experience it for yourself.

If you are among the courageous visionaries who want to transform their lives through the Vimala Alphabet technology, choose at least 3 letters:
- The first letter is the initial of your first name - not nickname, but your real birth first name. If you adopted a new first name after your 35th birthday, use that as your first name. By writing this letter, you will experience profound personal changes.
- The second letter is the Letter of the Week.
- The third letter is one you have chosen in order to bring about a specific transformation in your life. Choose a letter from the Vimala Alphabet Guidebook.
Follow these steps:
- Write at least 3 lines of upper and lowercase letters.
- Write on unlined paper in the landscape direction.
- No pencils, please. Use a pen.
- Begin by writing once, at the top of the page, the Declaration of Intent of the initial of your first name.
- Write the first and third letters for at least 40 consecutive days. If you skip a day, start over. 40 is the number of transformation; it takes 40 days for the neurons in the brain to realign themselves, which is what the process of adopting self-affirming handwriting patterns does.
- Write the third letter for a single week.

Just as you have gifts unique to who you are, so does each letter. I call them "aspects." I'd like to begin our new venture by sharing one of those aspects, perhaps the most important one of all: the Guardian Protector.
Through the years I've studied hundreds of traditions throughout the world, and have found that within each one, there are such beings that we call called "angels" in English, yet are called by a different name in many traditions: devas in the scriptures of India, Al-Malaikah in the Qur'an of Islam, Malakh in the Hebrew Bible----and on and on throughout the world. To avoid religious distinctions, I call each one a Guardian Protector, because that is their role.
Trust me ---They are as alive and attentive as you and I--just invisible, that's all--but fully present nonetheless. Create a conversation with them---then you will know. As with everything I teach, I insist that you do not believe what I say. To know in your heart of hearts that what I say is true, I suggest that you experience it by adopting suggested writing habits, along with applying the aspects of each letter, especially that of the Guardian Protector.

Often, when I tell people that the Letter is the letter of prosperity, they immediately respond with, "I need more money so I'll begin practicing the Letter !" And I respond, "It isn't about money; it's about wealth on all levels, attitudinally." This gentle Letter opens your heart to be kind, understanding, and a good listener; he supports you in expressing a naturally joyful nature. Formed on the triad of gratitude, generosity, and appreciation, as you write the Letter attentively, you will experience these attitudes slipping into your consciousness and your life. It is not uncommon for financial prosperity to follow.
Declaration of Intent: I appreciate everything and everyone in my life as gift. Everything. Everyone.
Guardian Protector: Ooniemme (Oh-nee-EM)-the Angel of Gratitude
What do you give thanks for? It's natural to give thanks for parking places, green lights, and delightful relationships, but what about that toothache, the boss who simply doesn't listen, the raise you didn't get, and those pounds you seem unable to lose? Ooniemme's job is to allow you to see everyone and everything in your life as gifts designed especially for you, and to accept them as that: gifts. When something drops into your life that you want to wish away, call on Ooniemme to have you see it as a lesson that will boost your spiritual growth and fill you with a feeling of gratitude.
HOW TO INSCRIBE THE MOST
SELF-AFFIRMING LETTER

Uppercase:
- Inscribe a generous circle open to the right, filling the mid- and upperzone.
- Now draw a softly curved line from deep inside the circular shape, ending at the baseline.
- Do not let this second stroke touch the initial stroke.
Lowercase:
The only lowercase 'g' I recommend is the Figure-8 g, because of its gentle, evocative nature.
- Begin by inscribing a clean letter c in the midzone.
- Curve the stroke as you come to the baseline, dropping it into the lower zone in a long, full lower loop on the right: "Like a full water balloon, " as one of my young students described it.
- Finish by coming back up to the baseline with a curved, forward-ending arc.
