Marine Joke

Jokin Around...

A former Marine sergeant took a new job as a high school teacher.  Just before the school year started, he injured his back.  He was required to wear a plaster cast around the upper part of his body.  Fortunately, the cast fit under his shirt and was not noticeable.

On the first day of class, he found himself assigned to the toughest students in the school.  The smart alek punks, having already heard the new teacher was a former Marine, were leery of him and he knew they would be testing his discipline in the classroom.

Walking confidently into the rowdy classroom, the new teacher opened the window wide and set down at his desk.  When a strong breeze made his tie flap. he picked up a stapler and stapled the tie to his chest.

Dead silence. He had no trouble with discipline the rest of the school year!

Jace Owen #401
Recently, Jace was training on his bicycle.  His "training-on- bicycle" consists of maybe 50 miles per day, at max speed, for a couple of hours on regular roads with his cohort MX'ers in the Suzuki program. Apparently, they were going quite fast, perhaps 30 mph, drafting each other on a downhill stretch, and a gust of wind suddenly moved one of the riders sideways and caused several riders to crash. Jace wound up with serious road rash strawberries that kept him off of two wheels altogether for several days, but he has since healed up enough to soldier on with his "normal" training programs. He plans on being back in the Charleston/Mattoon area in the another week or so.

Be sure to stay tuned to our blog and Jace's page on the Owen web site for all the latest and greatest #401 news.
