Message from the Chair
I hope that everyone had some great holidays and is ready to complete that New Year's resolution about electing more Democrats in Larimer County. We have plenty of opportunity in front of us. In January, I think several well recognized and well respected Democratic activists are going to announce their runs for elected positions in Larimer. In the meantime, Congressman Jared Polis will be visiting and getting to know as many of you as possible. Let's start by helping elect him.
We're booking as many dates with the Congressman as possible and asking for more. The rooms are filling up very quickly, so please RSVP as soon as possible. Your next opportunity, so far, is when our Century Club hosts Barackfast for Rep. Polis on Feb. 5. Mark your calendars, we'll run the normal announcement in the Party News section soon.
Please take a peek at our new website. With the New Year, we wanted a new look. The Calendar section is updated and includes the Democratic Caucus, Convention, and Dinner dates. Let Anne (Secretary@LarimerDems.org) know what works and doesn't work for you. I'm especially interested in testing the Donate button that leads to Century Club membership, recurring monthly donations, and that all important New Year's resolution, electing more Democrats in Larimer County.
--Wlliam Russell

"We have a stake in one another...what binds us together
is greater than what drives us apart, and...if enough people believe
in the truth of that proposition and act on it, then we might not solve
every problem, but we can get something meaningful done for
the people with whom we share this Earth.
--Barack Obama

On Sunday, January 15, 2012, the Namaqua Forum will examine the third deficit, the health of the nation's infrastructure, which is a foundation of the economy and our way of life. This is the underlying structure of our nation, the bones, arteries and nerves that bring life to, and requires funding for, our built environment, transportation systems, water, and energy systems. Compared to other nations we are getting behind, and this presentation will explain why and what we need to do about it.

The Forum is a free source of information whose goal is the enhancing of public awareness of critical issues, both local and international in nature.
