Message from the Chair
I went away from our Volunteer Appreciation Party last week with the thought that we ought to do a few more of these. Our volunteers had a chance to see each other away from the rigors of a campaign, mingle with their elected and candidates, and attend at least one event that was not a fundraiser. A special thanks to Kristin Stephens and Martha Coleman for running with this idea and organizing the event at Cilantro Grill.
The success of this low cost, no donation appreciation event underscores the fundraising changes that we have to make to continue to elect Democrats in Larimer County. Our fundraising events are fun, productive and potent, but to be able to budget around all the fundraising of our candidates and the calendar of the cycle, we really have to raise our recurring donations. Our officers and notable friends are calling for the rest of this month to ask for everybody to resume, raise or commit to recurring support for the Larimer County Democrats. A small donation per month allows us to budget for all the great candidates that will need our help in 2012. A small monthly donation allows us to take the emphasis off yearly events. A small monthly donation will expand our Century Club and I think we have some ideas stirring about how to use these small free events to help reward that special group too.
Please call Your Treasurer, Your Chair, or any officer to sign up for a small monthly donation to support Your Larimer County Democrats.
--William Russell
P.S. An account to help our former Treasurer, Lynn Alldrin, has been set up to receive checks written to For Benefit of Lynn Alldrin at Home State Bank. Please call Julie: 232-9863 or Lou Anderson: 224-5018.

"Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is
excellent in others belong to us as well."

Barackfast for the House Majority Project

The House Majority Project works on behalf of the State House Democratic leadership. It takes a statewide view of Coloado politics by funneling financial and strategic resources to targeted candidates and campaigns. It analyzes data, recruits and trains candidates, and provides support to targeted Democrats. By helping us regain the majority in the State House of Representatives, HMP donors are ensuring a sustainable future the creates opportunity for all Coloradans.
Please bring a friend who needs to know about this effort. As usual, we'll serve a hearty breakfast, and friends you have not yet met will be on hand.
