|

One of the most widely grown and best loved English Roses.'Graham Thomas' has been voted the World's Favorite Rose by the World Federation of Rose Societies. It has cupped flowers of medium size; their color being an unusually rich and pure yellow that would be hard to match even among modern Hybrid Teas. The growth is upright but bushy and very vigorous, with shiny, pale green, disease-resistant leaves. It is an excellent rose, both in beauty and performance. Height 5ft. Width 4ft. Zones 4-9.

Pat Austin PP9527
Named after David Austin's wife, this is an entirely new color break in English Roses; a bright copper on the inside of the petals, with pale copper-yellow on the outer sides, a similar effect to 'Austrian Copper' (R. foetida bicolor). The flowers are large and deeply cupped, so that we get contrasting colours between the two sides of the petals, giving a most attractive effect. The growth is strong and of a similar type to Golden Celebration and Abraham Darby. Tea-scented with a warm, sensuous background. Height 5, Width 3ft. Zones 5-9.

Lichfield Angel PPAF
The flowers of this rose commence as charming peachy pink cups, gradually opening to form neatly cupped rosettes. Each bloom has a perfect ring of creamy-apricot waxy petals enclosing numerous smaller petals. Eventually the petals turn back to form a large, domed, creamy-white flower. The overall effect in the mass in sunshine is almost pure white. Lichfield Angel will form a vigorous, rounded shrub which, with its blooms nodding attractively on the branch, will make a fine sight. The fragrance is generally light but has strong elements of clove at one stage. Height 4ft. Width 3ft. Zones 5-9

Susan Williams-Ellis NEW RELEASE April 2012
This exceptional rose is a "sport," or naturally occurring form, of Austin's popular pink rose 'The Mayflower' which was introduced in 2001. Good white roses are particularly difficult to breed, so it was with great delight that the team at David Austin discovered this new white rose, which shares the vigorous disease resistance of the pink rose. Like its parent, it also flowers very early in the season - two to three weeks before most other roses - and then continues to bloom nearly non-stop until the harder frosts. This rose is an excellent performer in most areas of the U.S. Those in cooler areas, including USDA zone 4, will welcome this exciting addition to the list of particularly winter hardy Austin roses. Height 4ft. Width 3ft. Zones 4-8
