Greetings!

The attendees at my webinar series last month had a lot of great questions. Where does one start with an aggressive dog that has been "fired" from other clinics and How does one handle  bite dysinhibition when using psychogenic medication were  the most common concerns.  These are important considerations for veterinarians and technicians who handle aggressive patients - where to begin to keep it positive with a difficult patient.  How  yowillu know if the anti anxiety medication will work or not? What if it back fires on you?  There are ways to minimize these risks for you and your clients.

I have given my answers in this newsletter for both dogs and cats.  What is difficult, is that there is not one simple answer.  I have tried to make the answers easy to follow and apply. please let me know what you have tried and what works.  I appreciate any comments, questions or additional ideas.  Veterinary staff getting bitten or injured is not a job requirement - it is a risk and one that can be reduced with new rewarding and low stress handling techniques.

So here is to happy pets - happy staff - and happy owners through knowing what works for each pet.
Good luck and keep in touch.
