Joy of Sculling Conference: The conference is hosted by Ridley College. Information and registration is now open.

 

 

RCA 2011 Rules of Racing: now available.
  
 
Club Registration Package 2011 is now available. Clubs please fill out the excel forms and return to it to us in the office. Any further additions over the next months including upgrades should be sent in their own new excel form.   
  
2011 RCA National Development Trials May 28/29: Rowing Canada Aviron High Performance will host the 2011 Development Trails in Welland, Ontario at the Welland International Flat-Water Centre-South Course.
UPDATE: Bulletin #2 AVAILABLE   

Learn to Row Instructor: an additional LTR Instructor course is being offered at Argonaut Rowing Club on May 7/8, 2011.
  

Sharing Success: More than just a Game Campaign

Hello friends of sport,
 
The "It's more than a Game" campaign is making real progress.  In just a couple of days, over 45 of the 308 ridings are now covered by sport enthusiasts who are taking action for sport and physical activity by engaging their local candidates.  Our
Facebook group is growing with almost 800 members and many of you are tweeting about the campaign to get the word out to your networks!
 
Be sure to get involved!!  Here is how:

  • Sign up  right here !
  • Post the campaign icons (download here under Take Action Resources) on your website and direct your members to www.itsmorethanagame.ca.
  • Join the  Facebook Group 
  • Forward this emailthroughout your e-networks and to your members.
  • Organize an all candidates forumon sport and physical activity
  • Reach out to your local mediaand ask your candidates a question.(See our resource section for examples you can use)
  • Sign the petition here...
  • Use social media!!  Tweet about the campaign, post the link on Facebook, make a video to post on YouTube about what sport and physical activity means to you!

 
Together, let's remind our candidates for public office what sport and physical activity do for individuals, families and communities across this great country!

In our last Newsletter we started a buzz around our website. Yes- something big is happening May 1, 2011! To help our project along we are calling all clubs to submit their photos. A photo release form will be required for each photo.
